Welcome According to current industry figures (January 2011), there are only 24 UK publishers who are accredited by Book Industry Communication (BIC), and therefore considered to be supplying timely and accurate bibliographic data. What does this mean? Quite simply, if your publishing company is not one of the 15, you're losing sales. In the past few years Ward McCandlish has achieved a BIC accreditation for four client publishers. Who are we? Established in 2004, Ward McCandlish is a specialist information management company that collates and delivers client publishers' bibliographic data to data agencies and consumer websites. We supply a cost-effective service that ensures our clients' bibliographic data meets the industry standards as set by BIC, meeting the requirements of booksellers and helping to increase the sales of our clients' titles. Our clients range from smaller companies publishing two books a year to larger organisations publishing over 200 books a year. We've developed our own ONIX system, fully tested and approved by both Nielsen and Bowker. We now supply a regular ONIX data feed to Nielsen and Bowker, and will soon supply the same feed to Amazon, BDS, Bertrams and Gardners. Our system also allows us to supply customised files for use on our clients' websites.
